Jacopo Pannocchia's Solo Exhibition 'Di nebbia e di terra' at Recanati

Jacopo Pannocchia presents 'Di nebbia e di terra' at Museo Civico Villa Colloredo Mels in Recanati, running until May 25, 2025. The exhibition showcases his work in sculpture, ceramics, and printmaking, emphasizing materiality and the mark. Pannocchia uses black anthracite and red iron-oxide-rich clays, along with imprimitura panels and 19th-century paper drawings. His graphic works include woodcuts, etchings, and drawings with clay, pigment, and graphite. The artist draws on the Marche region's tradition of mark-making, dating to the 1970s, to explore human fragility. The museum also houses masterpieces by Lorenzo Lotto, including the Annunciation and the Polyptych of San Domenico. Curated by Maria Letizia Paiato, the exhibition highlights Pannocchia's engagement with tradition and contemporary visual language.
