Jack White's First Solo Exhibition Opens at Damien Hirst's London Gallery

Jack White, best known as frontman of The White Stripes, presents his first-ever gallery exhibition, 'These Thoughts May Disappear', at Damien Hirst's Newport Street Gallery in London. The show runs until September 2026 and spans six rooms, featuring furniture, sculptures, and interactive works created over three decades. White, who began upholstery at age 15 in Detroit, combines craftsmanship with industrial materials and found objects. Highlights include 'Sonic Temple', a repurposed Masonic Temple bench with hidden sword and audio capabilities, and a collaboration with Ai Weiwei. White emphasizes the value of imperfection in a digital age, stating 'the mistakes are usually the best part'. The exhibition was catalyzed by Hirst's encouragement after White showed him photos of his sculptures. White refurbished older pieces from the 1990s and created new works for the show.
