Jack Tweed, Jade Goody's Widower, Banned from Driving for Drug Driving

Jack Tweed, who was married to Big Brother contestant Jade Goody, has received a 12-month driving ban after pleading guilty to drug driving. The 39-year-old was pulled over on Three Mile Hill in Chelmsford, Essex, on 6 December 2025, where he failed a roadside drug test. During his appearance at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on Monday, Tweed admitted to having a level of a specified controlled substance above the legal limit. A blood analysis showed 5.6 micrograms of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, surpassing the legal threshold of two micrograms. He stated that he used cannabis to manage sleep issues related to depression and anxiety, calling his actions 'stupid' and apologizing. Tweed was fined £692, with additional costs of £362. The court noted his seven prior convictions, including a drink driving offense in 2007. Magistrate Andrew McGregor enforced the driving ban. Currently, Tweed works as an electrician in Buckhurst Hill, Essex, earning around £3,000 monthly. He voiced concerns about how the ban might hinder his progress, but mentioned he is seeking healthier coping mechanisms. Goody passed away from cervical cancer in 2009, shortly after their wedding.
