Jack Daniel's and McLaren Launch $600 Halo MK1 Whiskey at 117.4 Proof

other · 2026-04-30

Jack Daniel's has released the Halo MK1 Tennessee Whiskey, a $600 collaboration with its Formula 1 partner McLaren Racing. Bottled at 117.4 proof (58.7% ABV), it is the most premium and limited global release in the brand's history. The whiskey uses the standard mashbill (80% corn, 8% rye, 12% malted barley) and undergoes the Lincoln County Process, but the barrels are constructed from staves aged two to three times longer than usual to soften tannins. Master distiller Chris Fletcher notes aromas of sweet maple, fruit, and toasted oak, with flavors of caramel, chocolate, pipe tobacco, and baking spice. The bottle features alloy metal, micro-suede, and carbon fiber print, echoing McLaren's car materials. The partnership began in 2022, with previous releases focusing on packaging changes. Mark Bacon, Jack Daniel's SVP and global managing director, called it a collector's item. The whiskey is available now on the brand's website.
