Iwan and Manuela Wirth Lead ArtReview Power 100, Highlighting Global Art World Shifts
Iwan and Manuela Wirth, the co-presidents of Hauser & Wirth, have claimed the top position on ArtReview's 2023 Power 100 list, a notable achievement as it marks the first time in 14 years that art dealers have secured this rank. Their impact extends beyond art sales to immersive lifestyle experiences, with Hauser & Wirth Somerset having launched last year and the upcoming opening of Hauser Wirth & Schimmel in Los Angeles scheduled for March 2024, under the direction of Paul Schimmel, which will offer educational initiatives and showcase prominent artists. The November-published list also features diverse global figures, including Koyo Kouoh at 73, Christine Tohme at 74, and newcomers Bose Krishnamachari and Riyas Komu at 86.
