Ivy Studio's Minnibar in Montreal Blends Japanese Minimalism with Raw Concrete

Ivy Studio, located in Montreal, has finalized the construction of Minnibar, an Italian eatery situated in a high-rise in the downtown area. The design draws from Japanese minimalism, showcasing exposed concrete alongside a central core that houses the kitchen, bar, and pizza counter. A cream-hued stone counter seamlessly transitions into a white oak omakase-style ledge. Bar seating is enhanced by a black shelf with round stools. The dining space is anchored by a wall-mounted art piece and adaptable black tables. The color scheme features off-white, grey, and black accents, complemented by custom pieces such as an ash wood chair and a stainless steel DJ booth crafted by Procedures Industries. The project was led by Gabrielle Rousseau, David Kirouac, and others, with construction managed by Groupe Général Construction. Photography was provided by Alex Lesage.
