IULM Students Launch Online Exhibition 'Still Lives' to Replace Year-End Show

On December 11, 2020, students from IULM University's Master's program in Art, Valorization, and Market inaugurated 'Still Lives. Arte oltre l’emergenza', a virtual exhibition replacing the traditional year-end physical show due to the pandemic. The project, conceived in May 2020, features works created exclusively during the pandemic by over seventy artists from around the world, spanning generations and media including photography, watercolor, drawing, sculpture, performance, and digital art. Notable participants include William Kentridge, Francesco Vezzoli, and Oliviero Toscani alongside emerging talents like 21-year-old British artist Abigail Mcgourlay. Students organized the exhibition into three macro-areas: organization, curation, and communication, working remotely via Teams and WhatsApp. The exhibition runs until March 31, 2021, on the university's website.
