ITV Studios Seeks Permanent Permission for Emmerdale Village Set

ITV Studios has applied to Leeds City Council for permanent planning permission to continue filming the TV drama Emmerdale at its village set in Harewood, Leeds. The set, which includes the Woolpack pub and Burden Head Farm, has been used since 1997. Current permission expires on 3 June 2027, with a condition to restore the site within six months. The application aims to allow indefinite use of the location, which is popular with tourists and used for over 260 episodes annually. A planning report highlights the set's adaptability for changing production needs, including storylines and scheduling challenges. Interior and exterior scenes are filmed at Harewood, while some indoor sets are on Kirkstall Road. The consultation runs until 13 August.
