ItsArt signs €1.8M deal with Media-Maker, CEO Guido Casali resigns
ItsArt, the Italian cultural streaming platform launched by the Ministry of Culture and backed by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) and Chili, has signed a €1.8 million agreement with Media-Maker. The deal involves Media-Maker creating an advertising campaign on national press and providing its network of digital billboards in Rome, Milan, and about 150 shopping centers across Italy. In exchange, ItsArt will give Media-Maker gift cards for the platform to be used in promotional initiatives. Meanwhile, CEO and content director Guido Casali resigned after only three months, citing “divergences on development strategies.” CDP, which holds a 51% majority stake, stated the resignation was a personal decision. Casali had previously worked at Nexo+, a cultural on-demand platform supplying content to Sky Arte, Raiplay, and Arte Tv. ItsArt’s president Giorgio Tacchia, appointed by minority shareholder Chili (49%), now oversees content decisions alongside the search for a new CEO.
