Italy Unveils €155M PNRR Guidelines for Cultural Digital and Green Transition

Guidelines have been released by the Italian government for the digital and green transformation of the cultural and creative sectors, backed by €155 million from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). Proposals will be evaluated by December 31, 2023, with an emphasis on digital innovation and sustainable practices. Key focus areas include gender equality, youth empowerment, and addressing the North-South divide, allocating 40% of funds to Southern regions. Eligible fields encompass music, audiovisual, fashion, and others. Goals involve fostering collaboration, supporting production via digital advancements, minimizing environmental impact, and encouraging eco-friendly design. Grants can cover up to 80% of expenses, capped at €75,000, with project completion expected by June 2026. Undersecretary Lucia Borgonzoni underscored the critical need for assistance.
