Italy's State Property Agency Launches Digital Platform to Attract Investors for Public Real Estate

Italy's Agenzia del Demanio has introduced a digital initiative named 'Crea valore, investi con noi' (Create value, invest with us), showcasing nearly 400 public properties available for enhancement through public-private partnerships. This program, overseen by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), seeks to draw in private sector investment for urban revitalization. The platform features 383 properties spread across 18 regions, with Sicily leading at 67 properties, followed by Lazio with 54. Notable sites include the incomplete 'Vela' by Calatrava in Rome and Turin's Basilica of Superga. Investors are invited to submit valorization proposals while maintaining public ownership. Undersecretary Lucia Albano emphasized improving data accessibility for urban renewal, while Director Alessandra dal Verme stressed the significance of local collaborations.
