Italy's Pavilion at the 2023 Venice Architecture Biennale

exhibition · 2026-04-27

At the 2023 Venice Architecture Biennale, the Italian Pavilion, named 'Spaziale. Ognuno appartiene a tutti gli altri' and curated by Fosbury Architecture, showcases its exhibition within a single hall of the Tese delle Vergini, spanning 1,800 square meters. It includes nine installations associated with 'Spaziale presenta', featuring an interactive musical piece and a poetic arrangement of 500 components, designed to mimic the shape of the Italian peninsula. In collaboration with Alterazioni Video, Fosbury Architecture produced the video 'Come è bello far l’amore da Trieste in giù', created alongside Fantamagico. The curators suggest that future editions might consider dedicating half of the national structure to a state lacking its own exhibition space for better management.
