Italy's Ministry of Culture Hires 518 New Cultural Heritage Officials

Minister Gennaro Sangiuliano confirmed that the Italian Ministry of Culture has launched a competition to recruit 518 non-managerial technical personnel for roles related to cultural heritage. This initiative, aimed at enhancing the ministry's specialized workforce, was announced in the Official Gazette. The positions available are permanent and full-time, encompassing eight categories: 268 state archivists, 130 librarians, 15 restorers-conservators, 32 architects, 35 art historians, 20 archaeologists, 8 paleontologists, and 10 demoethnoanthropologists. Applicants must possess either a specialization school diploma or a PhD. The deadline for submissions is January 9, 2023, with written examinations scheduled from May 22 to 29, 2023, at the Nuova Fiera di Roma. This follows similar competitions held in 2019 and 2021, not including the Province of Bolzano.
