Italy's 2026 hotel openings blend heritage with contemporary design
In 2026, Italy experiences a wave of new hotel launches and renovations. Notably, Ambra Cortina introduced the Dolomites' inaugural vinyl listening bar, Lanterna HiFi Bar & Lounge, in Cortina d'Ampezzo. The Henge Suite at Rosapetra Spa Resort, crafted by Isabella Genovese, stands out. Studio Primatesta completed the restoration of La Darbia, an 11-suite retreat in Chianti. Villa San Michele in Florence reopened after a redesign by Luigi Fragola Architects, now featuring a Guerlain spa and Antesi restaurant led by Chef Alessandro Cozzolino.
