festival-fair · 2026-04-27

On December 11, 2021, Italy's Contemporary Art Day returns for its 17th edition, organized by AMACI, after a break. The focus this year is on performative art, showcasing the hybrid and post-digital characteristics of contemporary creations. More than 500 complimentary events will take place throughout Italy and beyond, with backing from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event will continue until December 11 and features an interactive map available on a specific website. Involvement comes from AMACI's 24 member museums, galleries, and cultural organizations. Notable performances include those by Claudia Comte, Michael Rakowitz, and Tania Bruguera, with exhibitions at locations like Castello di Rivoli, PAC Milan, and Museion Bolzano. Armin Linke's photograph 'Jurong Bird Park' serves as the guiding image.
