Italy allocates over €22 million for culture and performing arts in 14 metropolitan peripheries

The Italian Ministry of Culture, under the direction of Minister Dario Franceschini, has designated more than €22 million to support cultural and performing arts across 14 major cities. This initiative is intended to foster social inclusion and preserve cultural heritage. The funding distribution includes: Rome (€4,337,431), Milan (€2,512,085), Turin (€1,836,721), Naples (€1,920,281), Genoa (€1,455,086), Palermo (€1,548,567), Bologna (€1,226,567), Florence (€1,196,136), Bari (€1,129,154), Catania (€1,107,117), Venice (€1,049,213), Messina (€1,005,067), Reggio Calabria (€940,584), and Cagliari (€909,909). Franceschini noted the connection to the centenary of Pier Paolo Pasolini. Tommaso Sacchi, Milan's Culture Councillor, commended the funding for its role in enhancing live performances and community engagement.
