Italian TV series 'Musei' and 'Art Night' return with cultural programming

Starting October 29, Sky Arte will air the second season of 'Musei', an eight-episode series exploring Italian national museums, from Palazzo Ducale in Urbino to the Reggia di Caserta. Produced by Sky Original and 3D Produzioni, directed by Giovanni Piscaglia, the series features interviews with directors and curators, highlighting the dynamic relationship between museums and local communities. The museums were selected in collaboration with the Direzione Generale Musei of the Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Tourism. On October 30, Rai Cultura's 'Art Night' returns with an episode focused on Venice. The first documentary, 'Tintoretto, il primo regista' by Erminio Perocco, examines the Renaissance painter's life and technical innovations, noting his influence on artists like Peter Paul Rubens, El Greco, Max Beckmann, and Jackson Pollock. The second documentary, 'Corto Maltese – La doppia vita di Hugo Pratt' by Thierry Thomas, traces the travels of comic artist Hugo Pratt from Venice to Africa, Argentina, Amazon, Brazil, London, and Lausanne. 'Art Night' is created by Silvia De Felice, Massimo Favia, and Marta Santella, directed by Andrea Montemaggiori, and hosted by Alessio Aversa, who introduces each episode with a museum director.
