Italian Summer Festivals 2021: From Rome to Gibellina, 10 Events
Starting April 26, cultural venues across Italy will begin to reopen, with various summer festivals planned throughout the country. In Rome, the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia will host performances on July 6, honoring Stravinsky and Piazzolla, followed by the multimedia concert 'Suoni dell'Amazzonia' on July 22. Sebastião Salgado's exhibition 'Amazzonia' will be on display at MAXXI Rome from October 1, 2021, to February 13, 2022. The Attraverso Festival is set to continue until September 5, featuring artists like Paolo Fresu and Vinicio Capossela. Additionally, Cortona On The Move is scheduled from July 15 to October 3, while the Orestiadi di Gibellina marks its 40th anniversary from July 9 to August 7. Patti Smith will perform at the Collisioni festival on July 10, and the Jeans Music Festival will run until July 18, with RE-CREATURES extending until August 22.
