Italian Shoe Design Exhibition Opens in Guangzhou

The exhibition 'Italian Shoe Design' has opened at the K11 Art Mall in Guangzhou (Canton), China, following previous editions in Abu Dhabi and Kuwait City. Curated by Elisabetta Pisu, founder of EP Studio, the show presents 31 women's shoes from historic and contemporary Italian brands and designers, highlighting the evolution of footwear as art. Featured designers include Salvatore Ferragamo, Sergio Rossi, René Caovilla, Prada, Versace, Diego Dolcini, Francesca Bellavita, MARIæN, and Alfredo Piferi. The exhibition emphasizes two key elements: the heel and shine, with materials like Swarovski crystals. It opened on April 15, 2025, Italy's National Made in Italy Day, and runs until May 20, 2025. Valerio De Parolis, Italian Consul General in Guangzhou, spoke at the opening, celebrating the fusion of tradition and innovation.
