Italian Panettone 2022: Artist Collaborations and Limited Edition Packaging
During Christmas 2022, Italian pastry chefs crafted a variety of panettoni, frequently teaming up with artists for exclusive packaging designs. Molino Pasini collaborated with Andrea Tortora and Uroš Mihić to produce an origami-themed panettone in a metal container, with proceeds benefiting AIRC. Forno Brisa showcased classic, vegan gianduia, and 'brutto ma buono' options, featuring whimsical packaging by Davide Sarti. Davide Longoni and Gianluca Cannizzo introduced the 'Cave Festam' panettone, while Longoni also created Fornasetti's version adorned with Lina Cavalieri's image. Chef Filippo La Mantia and Andrea Buglisi revived PA’ncucciato. Food Ensemble launched a black cocoa pandoro with a QR code. Casa Manfredi presented five panettoni by Giorgia Proia, and Italo Vezzoli worked with Accademia Carrara on a Hayez-inspired panettone. Di Stefano's creation highlighted Sicilian designs, and Giamberlano offered a 'Spaziale' panettone along with a contest.
