Italian musician Caparezza debuts as comic book author with Bonelli

Italian singer-songwriter and rapper Caparezza, born Michele Salvemini, has announced his debut as a comic book author and illustrator in collaboration with publisher Sergio Bonelli Editore. The comic will accompany his upcoming ninth studio album 'OrbitOrbit', set for release on October 31 via BMG Italy. Caparezza, a long-time comics enthusiast and frequent convention attendee, described the project as fulfilling a childhood dream. The publisher describes the book as a 'wild, colorful, fun, intimate and personal dreamlike journey'. The cover is designed by Matteo De Longis. The comic will be available in two formats: a 240-page color album (16×21 cm) and a 256-page hardcover color volume (19×26 cm), both launching October 31. The album is conceived as the 'soundtrack of a comic about imagination and the renewed desire to make music'. Caparezza's musical career continues alongside this new venture, with the project aiming to merge his dual identities as musician and comics fan.
