Italian Museums and Festivals Open Free for Liberation Day 2024

On April 25, 2024, Italy will celebrate its 79th Liberation Day with free entry to state museums and archaeological parks, as announced by Culture Minister Gennaro Sangiuliano. This marks the first of three complimentary admission days for 2024, part of the #domenicalmuseo initiative. On April 25 and May 1, Gallerie d'Italia locations in Milan, Naples, Turin, and Vicenza will be accessible without charge. Significant exhibitions include 'Velázquez. Un segno grandioso' in Naples and 'Cristina Mittermeier. La Grande Saggezza' in Turin. Additionally, Florence's Uffizi and other venues will also participate. From April 23-25, Rome will host the 'Festa della Resistenza' with 80 free events, while the Snowland Livigno Music Festival kicks off on April 25, featuring artists like Alok and Articolo 31.
