Italian Ministry launches logo contest for Luoghi del Contemporaneo platform
The Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (MIBACT), via its Directorate General for Contemporary Creativity (DGCC), has initiated a competition for a new logo for the digital platform Luoghi del Contemporaneo. This platform transitioned from a printed guide to an online tool that catalogs contemporary art locations throughout Italy. Open to participants aged 18 to 40, the contest offers a €10,000 prize, with submissions due by February 9, 2021. The logo should be unique, versatile, and reflective of contemporary creativity. Categories featured on the platform include Museums, Foundations, and a new section on Art in Public Spaces. The project started in 2003, with a mapping effort by the DARC, leading to subsequent updates in 2012.
