Italian Independent Magazines: A Survey of Quality Periodicals

A survey of Italian independent magazines highlights the diversity and quality of periodical publishing in Italy, with a focus on international perspectives. Cartography, now in its eighth issue, features contributions from artist Luca Trevisani, philosopher Emanuele Coccia, architect Stefano Boeri, and curator Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev in dialogue with artist Anne Imhof. Ghost, a Turin-based photography magazine founded by Giorgio Racca, reached its seventh issue curated by gallerist Riccardo Costantini, featuring photographers Ilaria Abbiento, Maura Banfo, Claudio Orlandi, and Gianpiero Fanuli.
