Italian Galleries Shine at ArcoMadrid 2020 and Satellite Fairs

During ArcoMadrid 2020, held from February 24 to March 1 at IFEMA, ten Italian galleries participated in the main fair, with many more appearing in satellite fairs JustMad, Urvanity, Hybrid, Drawing Room, and ArtMadrid. Despite initial fears over the coronavirus, the week proceeded normally and business was reportedly good. Notable presentations included Massimo Minimi's booth featuring Carla Accardi, Wilfredo Prieto, Haris Epaminonda, and Albert Samson; Galleria Continua showing Carlos Garaicoa; Giorgio Persano displaying Pistoletto's selfie mirror; and Prometeo Gallery with Regina Galindo and Iva Lulashi. P420 featured Paolo Icaro, Adelaide Cioni, Irma Blanc, June Crespo, Alessandra Spranzi, and Piero Manai. Monitor presented Claudio Verna, Matteo Fato, and Nicola Salmorì. Gallleriapiù showed Apparatus 22 and Ives Scherer. Franco Noero's booth was in a section dedicated to Félix González-Torres, with works by Jac Leirner. At JustMad, WhiteNoise, Studio 38, Burning Giraffe, and Crag Chiono Reisova Art Gallery participated. Urvanity saw Antonio Colombo, Martina's Gallery, Magma, Vicolo Folletto Art Factory, and Artrust. Hybrid featured Yellow collective, Display, and White Garage. Drawing Room included Shazar Gallery with Rocco Dubbini and Stefania Ricci. ArtMadrid hosted Galleria Stefano Forni with Luciano Ventrone, Bevignani, Alfredo Casali, and Edite Grinberga.
