digital · 2026-04-27

The Italian Ministry of Culture and Invitalia have selected 'I Borghi Animati – L’Italia come non l’avresti mai immaginata' as the winner of the Viaggio in Italia contest, which promotes slow and proximity tourism in Italy's historic villages. Curated by Piacenza-based creative hub That’s Motion, the project was chosen from over 1,200 proposals. It features static and animated illustrations by twenty Italian artists, inspired by legends, ancient stories, and folk traditions tied to each territory. The digital journey will offer users new itineraries through Italian borghi throughout the summer.
