Italian Curator Luca Cerizza Leads Third Pune Biennale in India
The Pune Biennale's third edition, named Habit-Co-Habit: Artistic Simulations of Some Everyday Spaces, is taking place until January 29 at various locations throughout Pune, India, such as Pataleshwar Caves, Balgandharva, Z-Bridge, Jungli Maharaj Temple, PES Modern High School, Phule Museum, Pune Municipal Corporation Printing Press, and Empress Garden. Curated by Luca Cerizza from Italy, the event includes a performance by artist Marcello Maloberti, titled Kolossal, scheduled for January 5-8 at Z-Bridge, under the curation of Zasha Colah. The biennale investigates themes of ritual, cohabitation, and how space influences behavior, particularly through the lens of Osho Ashram, while selected artists create interventions at ten sites along Jungli Maharaj Road in the Deccan area, featuring talents such as Sarnath Banerjee, Massimo Bartolini, and others.
