Italian cultural workers face collapse: survey reveals crisis

other · 2026-04-27

In early March 2020, the association Mi Riconosci? Sono un professionista dei beni culturali launched a survey to assess the impact of the Coronavirus emergency on cultural workers in Italy. The results, released on April 3, show that half of respondents lost all work and income, with nearly half unable to survive more than two months. Only 22% consider government measures adequate. The association calls for extended social safety nets, contractual protections, tax relief, and public investment. A live analysis will be held on April 14 at 6 PM on their Facebook page.
