Italian cultural leaders gather in Turin for States General of Culture

The States General of Culture took place on July 5, 2022, at the Museo del Risorgimento in Turin, organized by Il Gruppo 24 ORE in collaboration with the City of Turin. The event featured thirty speakers, including Culture Minister Dario Franceschini and Turin's Mayor Stefano Lo Russo, who evaluated the impact of Italy's cultural heritage on socio-economic growth. Among the notable attendees were Massimo Osanna, Fabio Tamburini, Massimiliano Tonelli, Evelina Christillin, Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev, Enzo Ghigo, Giovanna Melandri, Gabriel Zuchtriegel, and Domenico Piraina. Cultural assessors Miguel Gotor, Rosanna Purchia, and Tommaso Sacchi, along with mayors Giorgio Gori and Emilio Del Bono, also contributed. Beginning at 9:30 AM, discussions focused on the private sector's involvement, corporate sponsorship, and the revival post-COVID, highlighting the importance of digital skills.
