Italian Cultural Institutions Get Free Online Course on Video Games
In partnership with IIDEA, the Scuola nazionale del patrimonio e delle attività culturali has introduced a complimentary online Winter School named 'Gaming e beni culturali – Progettare esperienze interattive' aimed at equipping cultural heritage professionals with video game skills. This initiative is part of the Dicolab. Cultura al digitale project, supported by the PNRR through the Ministry of Culture. The program features four webinars scheduled from October 28 to December 9, 2025, available on-demand. Participants may also apply for in-person masterclasses set for 2026 in Reggio Calabria and Bologna. Francesca Neri emphasized that the initiative seeks to address misunderstandings regarding the appeal and purpose of video games, alongside a pilot action focused on video game training.
