Italian comic artist Carlo Ambrosini dies at 69
Carlo Ambrosini, a celebrated comic artist and writer from Italy, famous for his works Napoleone and Jan Dix, has passed away at the age of 69, as reported by his publisher Bonelli. He was born in 1954 in Azzano Mella, Brescia, and pursued his education at the Liceo Artistico and the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera. Ambrosini's professional journey began in the mid-1970s, working with Dardo, Ediperiodici, and Editoriale Corno. In 1978, he became a part of La Storia d'Italia a fumetti, illustrated Ken Parker's 26th issue in 1980, and contributed to Dylan Dog starting in 1986. He created Napoleone in 1997 and introduced Jan Dix in 2008. His passing coincided with the opening of Lucca Comics, which this year dealt with the controversy surrounding the Israeli embassy's involvement.
