Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, bookstores in Italy innovated their delivery methods. Libreria del Golem in Turin, owned by Mattia Garavaglia, offers free shipping across the country for purchases of two or more books. In Milan, Glovo collaborates with Feltrinelli and Mondadori to deliver around a thousand different titles. Condé Nast Italia, led by Fedele Usai, provided complimentary digital editions of its magazines for three months starting March 13, following Vanity Fair's free issue released on March 11. Modo infoshop in Bologna ships orders in the morning, while Todo Modo in Florence combines book deliveries with wine and fresh bread. Additionally, QuiVirgola in Schio created 'il pacco da Qui', and Limerick in Padua sends books in pizza boxes. Altroquando in Rome utilizes questionnaires for personalized recommendations, and Spine in Bari shares daily titles for courier delivery.
