Italian artists Grassino and Mainolfi in dual exhibition in Brazil

The Casa Fiat de Cultura in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, is hosting the double solo exhibition 'Il corpo della materia. La materia del corpo' featuring works by Italian artists Paolo Grassino (born 1967) and Luigi Mainolfi (born 1948). Curated by Alessandro Demma, the show runs until December 3, 2017, and includes sculptures, paintings, installations, and videos that explore the relationship between matter, body, and art. Grassino uses contemporary materials such as synthetic foam, resin, aluminum, corrugated tubing, electrical cables, and lamps, while Mainolfi works with traditional materials like terracotta, bronze, and steel. The exhibition highlights a dialogue between the two artists, who were formerly master and student, representing different generations and artistic approaches.
