Italian art fairs calendar: from Artissima to Roma Arte in Nuvola

Despite the global health crisis causing many international art fairs to cancel or postpone to 2021, several Italian fairs are pushing forward with live editions. Artissima in Turin (November 6–8, 2020) remains the only major international fair to proceed physically, with director Ilaria Bonacossa and sections including Main Section, New Entries, Dialogue/Monologue, Art Spaces & Editions, plus the digital platform XYZ (Nov 3–Dec 9) hosting curated sections Present Future, Back to the Future, and Disegni. Flashback Turin (November 5–8, 2020) holds its eighth edition titled Ludens, with a cover by Daniele Caluri. ArtVerona (December 11–13, 2020) debuts new director Stefano Raimondi and sections Introduction, Pages, Evolution, Next, and Solo, plus the Prospettive online talks. Arte Fiera Bologna (January 22–24, 2021) opens the 2021 calendar under Simone Menegoi with sections Main, Focus, Pittura XXI, and Fotografia e immagini in movimento. MIA Photo Fair Milan (March 25–28, 2021) moves to SUPERSTUDIO MAXI. miart Milan (April 9–11, 2021) announces new artistic director Nicola Ricciardi (2021–2023) and its 25th edition. Roma Arte in Nuvola (May 5–9, 2021) debuts at the Nuvola congress center by Massimiliano Fuksas, directed by Alessandro Nicosia.
