Italian art advisor curates collection for oldest English football club

Mattia Pozzoni, an Italian art advisor with over a decade of experience in public and private sectors in London and Milan, has curated a contemporary art collection for Fulham FC's Craven Cottage stadium. The collection is housed in the Lighthouse Social, a new private members' club within the stadium's recently renovated Riverside Stand, which also includes a spa, gym, pool, restaurants, bars, a boutique hotel (Fulham Pier Hotel), and entertainment spaces. The collection features over 80 works by established artists like David Shrigley and Billy Childish, as well as emerging British and Irish talents such as Jemima Murphy. Many works were commissioned specifically for the space, which was designed by Parisian studio Dion et Arles. Pozzoni stated the goal was to create an authentic dialogue between the artworks and the spaces, each with its own tone and function, adding depth and personality without imposing a single narrative. The club aims to attract members from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Craven Cottage, built on the former hunting grounds of Anne Boleyn, has been Fulham FC's home since 1896.
