Italian architect and designer Italo Rota dies at 70

Italo Rota, the renowned architect and designer from Milan, passed away on April 6, 2024. He was born in Milan in October 1953 and completed his studies at Politecnico di Milano in the early 1980s. Rota worked alongside Gae Aulenti on significant projects such as the lighting for Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Musée National d'Art Moderne. He established Studio Italo Rota Building and created designs for Artemide and Driade, contributing to both public and religious architecture in Italy and internationally. Rota also taught at NABA and other educational institutions. His last book, 'Solo diventare natura ci salverà', was released in December 2023.
