Fondazione Pistoia Musei presents 'Italia Moderna 1945 – 1975. Dalla Ricostruzione alla Contestazione,' curated by Marco Meneguzzo. The two-part exhibition at Palazzo Buontalenti, part of a new museum system under scientific direction of Philip Rylands, runs from April 18 to August 25, 2019 (first part 'Le macerie e la speranza') and September 13 to November 17, 2019 (second part 'Il benessere e la crisi'). Over 150 works from Intesa Sanpaolo collections trace Italian art from post-war reconstruction to social protest, highlighting Italy's international cultural and economic rise. The exhibition aims to show the ferment that produced a new great season of Italian art, recognized globally.
