Italia Inclusiva: Photographic Project Chronicles Italian Third Sector
The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, curated by Baringo, presents 'Italia Inclusiva', a photographic project documenting six resilient Third Sector organizations in Italy. Five photographers and one collective—TerraProject, Giulia Iacolutti, Marina Caneve, Louis de Belle, Alessandro Imbriaco, and Federica Sasso—were selected for their diverse genres, from reportage to participatory photography, portraiture, and video art. The project includes a photo book with six different covers and will be exhibited at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Amburgo until June 9, before continuing its international tour via Italian embassies, consulates, and cultural institutes. The curatorial text by Cosimo Bizzarri and Matteo de Mayda references Ando Gilardi's manifesto 'Non fotografare', highlighting the challenges of social photography in balancing testimony and solidarity with the need to push beyond traditional boundaries.
