Istituto Italiano di Cultura London opens dual exhibitions: Consagra-Hugonnier and photo book covers

The Istituto Italiano di Cultura in London, under the direction of photographer Marco Delogu, has launched two simultaneous exhibitions. 'The Photo Book Cover' is available until October 27, 2017, while 'Ties – Legami II: Pietro Consagra e Marine Hugonnier' will be on display until November 20, 2017. This latter exhibition, created in partnership with Artuner, founded by Eugenio Re Rebaudengo, examines how both Consagra and Hugonnier challenge established cultural norms through their works in sculpture and collage, fostering new connections between the audience and their surroundings. Featured are Hugonnier's latest collages from the 'Art For Modern Architecture' series alongside Consagra's sculptures from the 1960s and 1980s. Meanwhile, 'The Photo Book Cover' focuses on the photo book's role in shaping a photographer's identity, showcasing covers selected by ten notable photographers, including Olivo Barberi and Alec Soth, emphasizing the book's unique language as an independent entity.
