Israeli strikes kill 7 in Lebanon including Islamic Jihad commander
On Sunday, Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon resulted in the deaths of seven individuals, among them an Islamic Jihad commander and his 17-year-old daughter, despite the ongoing fragile ceasefire. The health ministry indicated that three fatalities occurred in Tayr Felsay, which included a child, while two others were killed in Tayr Debba, also involving another child, with 11 additional people injured. Subsequently, a missile strike close to Baalbek claimed the lives of Islamic Jihad leader Wael Abdel Halim and his teenage daughter. Israel has continued its extensive bombardment in southern Lebanon and has issued evacuation alerts for villages near Sidon. Hezbollah described the US-mediated negotiations as a 'dead end.'
