Israel kills Hamas military chief in Gaza air strike
Israel's military killed Izz al-Din al-Haddad, the chief of Hamas' military wing, in an air strike on Gaza City on Friday. Haddad, born in 1970, was the most senior Hamas official killed since a US-backed ceasefire in October. A joint funeral was held on Saturday at Al Aqsa Martyrs Mosque for Haddad, his wife, and their 19-year-old daughter. Hamas Gaza spokesperson Hazem Qassem confirmed Haddad's death.
