Israel expands 'yellow line' military zone in Gaza, displacing Palestinians

Israel has broadened its 'yellow line' military zone in Gaza, resulting in the forced displacement of Palestinians from their residences. According to residents and officials from Hamas, the yellow block markers have been advanced in at least five areas, including the Zeitoun district of Gaza City. Palestinian resident Assem Dawla mentioned that he and his family have had to evacuate for the seventh or eighth time since the conflict erupted, prompted by Israeli evacuation orders and the encroaching yellow line. Established under a US-mediated ceasefire in October, the yellow line aimed to curtail significant hostilities following two years of intense conflict initiated by Hamas's assault on southern Israel. Dawla noted that the yellow line now reaches Salah al-Din Street, rendering it unsafe to stay. Elderly family members and men loaded their belongings onto trucks as they readied for departure. This expansion of the military zone continues to uproot civilians amid ongoing Israeli military operations.
