ISLAA Launches 2026 Exhibition Program with Focus on Venezuelan Art

In January, the Institute for Studies on Latin American Art (ISLAA) in New York unveiled its exhibition program for 2026, highlighting Venezuelan art from the 20th century. The lineup includes exhibitions dedicated to Carlos Cruz-Diez and Claudio Perna, alongside digital showcases featuring Diego Barboza and Alejandro Otero, bridging various generations and artistic experiences. This program will be available until May 2, 2026. Perna's exhibition, titled 'Idea como arte,' presents over forty pieces created between the late 1960s and early 1990s, delving into the theme of knowledge production. Cruz-Diez's 'Color at Stake' features twenty-three works from 1955 to 1988, focusing on the transformative power of color. The ISLAA Spotlights will also highlight Barboza's *30 muchachas con redes*, Otero's paper works, and Erick Calderón's reinterpretation of Cruz-Diez's color studies.
