On April 7, 2026, Isha Ambani and curator Dr. Amin Jaffer hosted a dinner at Venice's Scuola Grande della Misericordia celebrating the opening of the Pavilion of India at the 61st Venice Biennale. The pavilion's exhibition, 'Geographies of Distance: Remembering Home,' features five Indian artists: Asim Waqif, Ranjani Shettar, Alwar Balasubramaniam (Bala), Sumakshi Singh, and Skarma Sonam Tashi. Presented by India's Ministry of Culture in partnership with the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) and Serendipity Arts, the pavilion marks a defining moment of cultural pride. The dinner, curated by Chef Ritu Dalmia with a traditional Indian thali, gathered global cultural leaders including Sir Nicholas Cullinan (British Museum), Sir Gabriele Finaldi (National Gallery), Dr. Tristram Hunt (V&A), Mariët Westermann (Guggenheim), Hans Ulrich Obrist (Serpentine), and fashion figures Diane von Furstenberg, Dries Van Noten, and Edward Enninful. Italian patrons like Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo and Princess Bianca Valenti Gonzaga Arrivabene also attended. Isha Ambani stated NMACC's vision is to foster global cultural dialogue, bringing India to the world and vice versa. The pavilion remains on view for the duration of the Biennale.
