Isacco Emiliani's Ottantuno: A Photographic Journey to Ancient Trees

exhibition · 2026-04-27

Isacco Emiliani, a photographer hailing from Forlì and born in 1991, undertook a project named Ottantuno, which chronicles seven years of excursions with his grandfather in search of monumental trees across the Italian mountains. This limited-edition art book was published by Nutsforlife in April 2022 and includes a preface by Jane Goodall. An exhibition is set to launch on May 13 at Serre Comunali in Verona, organized by Grenze Arsenali Fotografici in collaboration with the Municipality of Verona. Following the passing of his uncle Angelo in 2008, Emiliani and his grandfather commenced night walks in 2015, inspired by Valido Capodarca's writings. Additionally, Emiliani conducts photography workshops, featuring a new module on Conservation Photography, with sessions scheduled for May 26-28, July 7-9, and August 19-20.
