exhibition · 2026-04-19

From March 15 to August 10, 2025, Singapore's ArtScience Museum hosted the inaugural solo exhibition of Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen. The showcase highlighted sculptural clothing that merges art, fashion, science, and technology, complemented by various artifacts such as videos, paintings, and fossils. Among the standout pieces were the Skeleton Dress (2011) and Morphogenesis Dress (2020). An intriguing cabinet of curiosities featured unique items like a porcelain dress and insect taxidermy. Celebrities such as Beyoncé and Lady Gaga have donned Van Herpen's creations. The exhibition also displayed the Hydrozoa Dress (2020) and Cathedral Dress (2012), pushing the limits between art and fashion through dynamic presentations that involved multiple disciplines.
