Iris Ceramica Group transforms Madrid chapel into restaurant for Casa Decor 2026

The 61st Casa Decor, taking place from April 9 to May 24, 2026, features 'The Silent Chapel,' a restaurant designed by Raúl Martins, commissioned by Iris Ceramica Group. Located in a historic palace at Calle San Agustín 11 in Madrid's Barrio de las Letras, the palace was constructed between 1892 and 1895 for the Marquises of Los Vélez and the Counts of Niebla. Originally a school and convent, its carriage stables were transformed into a chapel in 1926. Martins maintained the Spanish Neo-Renaissance style, utilizing Iris Ceramica Group's ceramic materials for the architecture. A striking octagonal table made from 6 mm Selenite White ceramic slabs is positioned under the original skylight, featuring wireless charging through the Hypercharge system. Custom woodwork by Mogno Woods complements the design. Additionally, Iris Ceramica Group's surfaces are featured in other Casa Decor installations, including 'Orbita e Materia' by Rebuelta Domecq for ITA, 'Arquitectura del sabor' by Mar Gausachs for Bauhaus, and 'El valor de lo invisible' by Cano y Escario Arquitectura for Mapei.
