Iranian artists Ramin Haerizadeh, Rokni Haerizadeh, and Hesam Rahmanian, based in Dubai, collaborate to create works that fuse installation, sculpture, performance, and painting. Their theatrical installations and staged videos showcase indescribable characters brought to life by various objects, utilizing role-playing, cross-dressing, and surrealism to critique power dynamics and suggest new ethical frameworks. The artists reference art history and political issues while reinterpreting ordinary items, blurring the lines between life and art. Engaging viewers physically, their shared lifestyle in Dubai influences their work. Rokni Haerizadeh was recognized as an ArtReview Future Great in 2014. The trio has received the Han Nefkens Foundation/MACBA Award and will exhibit in Barcelona and New York in September and October, respectively.
