Iran Warns US of Retaliation Over Trump's Attack Threats

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi warned the US against any reckless actions, stating that Iran would take strong measures if American forces follow through on President Trump's threats of new attacks on Iranian locations. During discussions on Saturday with top officials from Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia, he highlighted the destabilizing effects of US actions and the risk of escalating regional turmoil. Araqchi assured Pakistan's Army Chief Asim Munir and Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan that Iran would respond decisively to any aggression. He also told Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan that US or Israeli strikes would elicit a proportional response. This came after Kuwait's military intercepted Iranian drones targeting key facilities, with Nournews warning that US assaults on Iranian energy would provoke Iranian retaliation against oilfields in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and gas fields in Qatar and Israel. Meanwhile, Trump, at a cabinet meeting on Friday at Camp David, expressed optimism that a deal with Iran was still possible with his negotiating team.
