Ipercorpo 2016 Festival in Forlì Blends Dance, Theater, and Visual Arts

The Ipercorpo Festival took place in Forlì from May 25 to 29, 2016, featuring a multidisciplinary program of theater, dance, visual arts, music, and video. The festival included three notable dance performances. 'Strettamente Confidenziale' by Marco Valerio Amico was a choreographic museum device installed in the former church of San Giacomo, allowing spectators to freely move among actions by Fabrizio Favale/Le Supplici, C.ia Stalker_Daniele Albanese, gruppo nanou+Ronin, and Annalì Rainoldi. 'Convivio' by gruppo nanou featured dancers Sissj Bassani, Rhuena Bracci, Marco Maretti, and live music by Ronin, with black-and-white geometric scenes by Giovanni Marocco. 'Marzo' by Dewey Dell, created with Japanese manga artist Yuichi Yokoyama and theater director Kuro Tanino, drew on manga and anime imagery, performed by Agata Castellucci, Eugenio Resta, Enrico Ticconi, and Teodora Castellucci, with music by Demetrio Castellucci/Black Fanfare. The closing performance 'What age are you acting?' by Silvia Gribaudi, performed with Domenico Santonicola, explored everyday gestures and moods, often nude, with references to Isadora Duncan, Botticelli's 'Birth of Venus', Myron's 'Discobolus', and Mary Wigman. The work was part of a project supported by Centro per la Scena Contemporanea di Bassano del Grappa, Nederlandse Dansdagen di Maastricht, Dance House di Lemesos, and the EU Culture Programme 2007-2013.
